What is the Keto Diet?

It is a diet that got developed back in the 1920's to help patients with epilepsy, as this diet helped them to control their seizures. 

It is a very high fat, moderate protein and very low net-carb diet. "Keto is short for the state of ketosis, a metabolic state that occurs when most of the body's energy comes from ketone bodies in the blood rather than from glucose obtained from eating foods with carbohydrates." 

What should you expect from Healthy Xpress Keto diet? All of the meals are going to have the calorie intake of each meal on the label including the total number of grams of Protein (P), Net Carbs (C) and Fats (F) of each meal. The fat amount will be very high in some meals and again this is due to the nature of this diet. 

The fat mainly comes from sauces & oils. If you get a small container with olive oil just add it to your meal or salad. Sometimes you are going to get small containers with white hard oil - this is coconut oil. It can be used in your meal as well - melted in the microwave or reheated in a pan along with your food.
